The Electronic Sports League has issued a statement addressing the recent distributed denial-of-service attacks and the network problems the Extreme Masters World Finals has been facing. The ESL claims the tournament network has been under attack by a malicious bot net, with over "1,000 IPs contantly flooding our data lines."
Days one and two of the Extreme Masters World Finals experienced massive delays in all tournaments, with some matches being held up by as many as six hours.
With the tournaments now reaching their latter stages and most matches taking place on the main stage, where no problems have occured, things are expected to go smoothly now. |
